The brief and the constraint
Four construction phases over 30 months risked visible colour variation between buildings, and the developer needed the shading to contribute to a facade energy calculation.
What we specified
A single fabric lot was reserved for the development, shades were pre-programmed to a unit schedule at the factory, and U-value and solar transmittance data was supplied for the energy model.
The result
All four phases were delivered with a consistent colour and hem line, and shading was credited in the facade energy assessment.
