The brief and the constraint
The tenant had persistent complaints about glare on screens on the east elevation, and the building management wanted shading inside the BMS rather than as a stand-alone system.
What we specified
Zebra shades were zoned by elevation and driven from an astro schedule through an RS-485 interface to the BMS, with local wall switches retained for occupant override.
The result
Glare complaints were resolved and the facade is now managed as part of the building strategy rather than by individual occupants.
